Egypt's architectural advancements

Egypt was ahead of all of the other empires and city/states because the pharos had a passion for building. Djoser created the first pyramid. His pyramid was a step pyramid. He layered carefully cut stone, first four times, then eight times. Then Snefru created the more famous pyramids. The pyramids where each time the stone got closer to the final height it had to be cut more and more carefully until they reached the capstone and smooth limestone.
